Access 2002 – Mailing Labels

This is what happens when a techie-dabler creates a database.

I have a mailing list, where the state field draws from a look up table with the two initial state abbreviation. Each state was give an id #.

As far as I can tell, the forms work properly. They display the state abbreviation (MI,) in a drop-down list whereas the table shows the appropriate id# (23).

But when I try to run a label report with the Label Wizard. The state # is displayed not the state abbreivation.

I don’t want to confuse our local post office with labels that say Ann Arbor, 23 49707. Can anyone provide assistance or suggestions?
