Access 2K Database LOCKED DOWN - HELP

By mitchbryant ·
I have a Access 2K database running on a Novell Network that is now locked up.. No one can get in.. We suffered a power outage and all clients got shut down hard... The server was fine and was shut down properly. Server has been restarted three times - file will not unlock, it claims to be in use by one user....

How can I use a command line to gain access to the database or "unlock" it or get the user from owning it ?????

HELP - need to fix this Sunday.. I will gladly give up 5000 points for the correct answer!!!!!!

Thanks,
Mitch Bryant

If you can identify the database file in NetWare Administrator, right-click on the file to get to it's properties and that will tell you which user had it open last. Try logging in as that user and closing the file properly. You might even want to try it from his/her workstation. That might mean changing their password but you can leave them a note for Monday and require them to change it again.
Hope this helps.

If there's an LDB file in the same directory as the MDB file try deleting it and re-opening the MDB file.
