Access 97 cant start because no license

By steve_barak ·
I have an NT 4.0 Server. When I try to start MS Access 97, it says cant start because there is no license for this machine. Any thoughts (other then reinstall) ?

It may be a permissions issue with the Licenses key in the registry.

There are a couple of known problems that cause this. See Microsoft article Q191224, the first part deals with the problem if you are using Win98, the second part is for all other operating systems. I had the same problem and the second part fixed it for me.
