Access 97 cant start because no license

By steve_barak ·
I have an NT 4.0 Server. When I try to start MS Access 97, it says cant start because there is no license for this machine. Any thoughts (other then reinstall) ?

It may be a permissions issue with the Licenses key in the registry.

There are a couple of known problems that cause this. See Microsoft article Q1**224, the first part deals with the problem if you are using Win98, the second part is for all other operating systems. I had the same problem and the second part fixed it for me.
