Access – Barcode scanner – label print

    by bradsq&a ·

I am looking for a simple Access97 app (or DOS Basic app) that will present a form for input (keybrd or scanner) of a part/serial number/bar code and will then output the number to one or more labels. The printed number would include a representative bar code. I am not sure what symbology, though it should not matter (code change).
Any example or existing app inclusive of these reqs… I am looking for a short cut to avoid from scratch coding.

I highly recommend Zebra Barcode and Label Products. They have software packages or they also have code examples if you would like to develop your own software. http://www.zebra.com

I am familiar with Zebra products and agree with your recommendation. However, I was looking to do something simple that would not require a third party application and all its bells and whistles. I have access to various labeling apps, but thought that a simple app would avoid the configuration, training and licensing costs. thanks for your suggestion.
