access exchange mail via internet?

By mezdor ·
We are running Exchange 5.5 for E-mail. Is there a way to access your office mail from the internet. I have a couple of users that travel, and they need to access there corp mail through the web. Can Exchange do this?

Outlook Web Access is the easiest way for remote users to get their mail.

First you need a True IP Address so that you can access it from anywhere. and a constant internet connection for the server.

If you have a router or firwall, then you need to Then type in the ipaddress\exchange and this will give you what you are looking for.
forward the port 3389 to the servers Ip Address.

do not type http:// or anything before the ip address. example 24.217.216.2\exchange
Hope this helps
