I created a form containing an OLE object bound to a table. Our office inserts .bmp and .psd objects to track graphics used in instructional manuals that we design. Each record we could see the graphic used and the details regarding it. Our boss downloaded a trial screen capture program and from that point on .bmps are shown as icons in the object frame even though “show as icon” is not checked in its properties.
I changed, through windows explorer, the program associated with .bmps back to Microsoft Paint (it was defaulted to the screen capture program)and .bmps are now opened in Microsoft Paint but in Access the OLE object stil shows icons for .bmps and not the graphic itself. Somehow the screen capture program changed some settings.
How do I return Access to be able to read .bmps or do I have to do something in Windows?
