I installed Roxio CWRW Platinum and am still trying to get my rewriter to work. I keep getting message 'You do not have access Contact your administrator' I am the administrator on the system (WIN XP Home) Any suggestions please?

XP has known problems with Roxio/Adaptec CD burning software. Have you installed SP1? Are you trying to write data or music (.mp3, .wav etc.)?
Try burning a audio CD with Media Player, that will prove hardware works. sounds like a permissions/settings error have you checked those? Are you logged on as admin or user when you try to use the software?

You need to go through a specific sequence to install Roxio 5 on a XP PC.

1. Un-install Roxio 5
2. Install the XP CDRW update.
3. Run the Roxio XP update.
4. Install EasyCD 5
5. Run the Roxio update again.
6. Install the latest EasyCD 5 update.

There should still be instructions posted at www.roxio.com on installing EasyCD 5 in XP.
