Access Web Server On Lan Via Wan Ip

by kent2612 . Updated 22 years, 8 months ago

Hi Guys,

I configure a router which i do a NAT (using the Static ip given by ISP) to a LAN static LAN ip which i assigned to my Windows 2000 Web Server.

Currently my Windows 2000 web Server is accessible from outside of my LAN when i simplily open up the Internet Explorer and key in the WAN ip given by my ISP.

But on my LAN, it is only accessible when i key in the LAN ip which i assigned it. I would want the option for it to be accessible using both WAN or LAN ip on computers within my LAN.

I have rule out the idea of putting it on the DMZ.

Any ideas on why and how can i go about solving this problem…
Or is the usually the case.
