Accessing external USB3/SATA storage devices without using USB2 port

by david.dauenhauer . Updated 14 years, 11 months ago

I access multiple legacy windows XP devices. I would like to use the higher speed of USB3/SATA on external storage devices, but the only way I currently can do with is with a USB2 port on the pc/laptop. With the limited speed using these ports, I might as well stay with using USB2 external devices.
Is there a way to get use of the higher speeds? Like an ethernet converter to at least use that speed?
