accessing shared directories

By alandaganph ·
Good day. Got a question tho.
lets say i created a directory;
/usr/temp/folder

how am i going to share that directory on both DEV and PRD servers.

so that at PRD i can access /usr/temp/folder same as on DEV.

many thanks.

Platform?

by LordInfidel In reply to accessing shared director ...

besides the platform (win vs *nix)

why would you want your dev servers to be able to contact your production servers thru a share?

if this is linux though, use NFS and add the share in /etc/exports, then on the client side simply make an permament connection to it via /etc/fstab.

windows is much easier and I won't even bother getting into it.
