I have an acer aspire 3050 notebook and I seem to be having trouble charging the battery completely to it’s fullest. Its suppose to last 1.5 hours but only charges to 35mins.. Anyone know how to fix! Do I have to do something regarding the power management in the BIOS..?

It’s not that you necessarily did anything wrong, it’s just that laptop batteries don’t last forever. I would simply get a new one off of ebay, as it is a great place to get cheap laptop parts like this. Search for a battery for your model of notebook. I would choose one from a reputable e-bay seller, that is supposed to fit your laptop. You might want to choose one that is a new or refurbished OEM, not one made by another company, although those would probably work and will be a couple bucks cheaper, they may have just slightly shorter battery life. If you’re getting an OEM, it would also be a good idea to check that the part number matches you’re existing battery. Also, simply look at the picture and make sure it looks like the same thing.

As for power saving settings, you might want to right click on your windows desktop, choose properties>screensaver>power and make sure that standby the power saving settings are enabled to your preference.
