After having installed XP on my Acer Aspire laptop, I am having the following problem: I connect to Wireless internet, and after 10 minutes it disconnects. Can’t find a solution.
Please, if anybody has any suggestions, I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest wireless driver for your laptop? Try that and see if it works any better.

      I’m running an Acer Aspire 1363 so…

My laptop has an INProconn wireless system and it usually runs without any hassle.

Having said that there are a couple of things you could try.

      1. Check that you only have one connection port open. If your 1394 or LAN connections are also open this will bring down the wireless connection.

      2. The angle of your screen is critical – within 10 to 15 degrees back from vertical is the only sure angle.

Does your system tray wireless icon show a wavering signal? If it does DO NOT attempt a Repair – this can cause a glitch further into the connection.

Recent Windows Updates caused a wireless crash on my NB. There is a INProconn update available from Acer that cures this particular niggle.

      Best of luck.
