    Acer Touchpad Not Working

    by 06causticczarina ·

I have an Acer D255-N55DQkk that came with a confusing Chinese version of Windows 7. I switched it out for Ubuntu which is when the loss of touchpad began. Just went to Mint hoping it would gain me a better access to a solution… Touchpad doesn’t work. Not even after using the F7 attempted solution. Needing suggestions
    Thanks in advance.

See if you can find a touchpad driver for Ubuntu or Mint for this laptop. Or use a mouse.

I’d try the Mint and Ubuntu forums.

I just use my USB mouse since it’s my preference.

Sometimes these laptops have you change a BIOS setting but no documents so any guess if USB Legacy setting can help.

You need to re-enable your touchpad to be able to use it. To re-enable your touchpad: On your laptop keyboard, press the Fn key and the F6 or F7 key (the function key with a touchpad icon on it) at the same time. Then check to see if you’re able to use your touchpad.
