Active window size

By colin_barnett ·
Sometimes when I open an IE browser window or click on an email item in Outlook or OE, the window that opens up is too small to display the contents. I think this has something to do with my resizing a window at some previous point. My question: is there a way to set the size (i.e., the height and width) of windows before they open? I know how to resize windows once they are open.

Resize the window the way you want it. Hold down the CTRL key, then click on File and choose Exit. Do the same thing with the window that originated the active windows you just closed. The next time you open it, it should open an active windows of the previous size.

Running W2K and ie 6. Started ie from the Start Menu. Maximised it and held Ctrl while clicking on the 'x'. The next time I start ie form the menu it remaines maximized.(File/Close did not store the window size). When opening ie from a link in an email, I cannot get it to remain maximized. The best I get is the size I dragged the window to before closing ie. It will always remain restored rather than maximized when opening thru a link.
