    ActiveX Error Message

    Locked

    by bronzemouse2003 ·

CEO wants to copy table from MS Word into body of email. Table corresponds to PPT presentation that is attached to email.

Attempts to paste table into MS Outlook email results in error “Microsoft Internet Explorer – Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.” OK results in half of table added to email.

Searched internet, can’t seem to resolve this problem.

    Any ideas?

You may have two options here:

      1) In Outlook; go to your options for mail format. Check the option to use Microsoft Word to edit email messages. The exact procedure for this varies depending on your version of Outlook.

      2) Go to Internet Options; either from the control panel or from Tools-Options in Internet Explorer.

Click on Security and then Custom Level. Set everything under the heading “Active X Controls and Plugins” to enable.

If you go with this option, then after you have finished pasting the table MAKE SURE YOU RESET YOUR WEB SETTINGS.

      That should do it.

Just select teh table from the presentation and paste it in Outlook.
While selecting it make sure that u are copying it with the table format(for this place ur mouse pointer at the top left of th table and thenclick it .U notice the whole table is selected. Then copy it and paste it in outlook)
