I had it randomly scanning for a floppy once but that a while back. I just uninstalled and reinstalled with a freshly downloaded copy and it fixed the prob. http://www.lavasoft.nu
      Good luck,

After you click on the Start button the next screen offers you some choices. Select; “Select drives\folders to scan” and uncheck D:

In the Select Scan Mode option, click on Use custom scanning options. Click on Customize then click on General. In the Write to Log files to: check to be sure that it says C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-aware 6\logs, in the Using reference file… it should say C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-aware 6\reflist.ref.

Then go to Tweak and click on the plus Webupdate Settings. Make sure that the only green check mark is on Always backup reference file, before updating.

      I hope that helps.
