Adding Network Folders to Folder List

By ldc6205 ·
Is it possible to add a network data folder on another server to the Outlook folder list? I need to have an easy way for users to drag mail messages from their Outlook Inbox into the network folder without using the cut & paste method. We have Outlook public folders set up, but we would prefer to keep all files (including email messages) in one central location.
My environment includes: Windows 2003 domain with Active Directory, Outlook 2002, MS Exchange Server 2003.

In short. Why?

Your public folders in Exchange make all of the messages available to everyone.

What about creating a new shared folder in active directory?

Did you ever figure this out?

I help myself by keeping the explorer window open next to outlook, and I've found mail2disk, see http://www.fellinger.biz/en/

Ad "Why?": Because it's ridiculous to have all my files EXCEPT the emails in one project folder on my network drive. Bad info management.
