When using the Outlook 2003 Address book, looking up (Ctrl-Shift-B) or addressing an email, clicking on the “Show Names from the:” list shuts down Outlook. If I use Alt-S to get to that menu and then arrow keys to scoll through the list of lists it works just fine. But as soon as I click on the list – even if I don’t change the selection – I get the error.
Error signature shows:
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer 11.0.8169.0 ApStamp: 465f28e3
ModName: user32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.3099 ModStamp:45f02d7c
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00052bbe
My original suspicions had to do with odd things on the Exchange setup, except that 1) other users (around 10-12) are working fine and 2) even if I don’t set up the exchange email account I get the error.
I’ve tried:
A new profile
Updating Office (via MS update)
Repairing Office
Uninstalling Outlook & reinstalling (which shouldn’t be that much different than a repair but I tried it anyway)
Again, the most bizarre part is that doing Alt-S and selecting by arrows works fine, even though the mouse click doesn’t.
Any ideas?
