Hello Fellow TR Citizens,
A bizzare problem was brought to my attention today regarding a user who could download but not install win xp sp2 critical updates. the user had sufficient rights to do so on the local machine. A support person with domain rights logged in to the system and attempted to do so – same status. Finally the support person tested the system with the local admin’s account and again, the logged on user could download but not install the required criticals.
I’ve checked permissions, etc. which reveal nothing pointing to the cause. Any suggestions or relevant information to a resolution re the above would be greatly appreciated.
