Adobe Acrobat 5.0

One of our Agents is in the process of scanning manuals using Adobe Acrobat 5.0. After scanning the manual the article then needs to be edited and saved as many pdf’s.

She will edit a single manual and break it into a pdf for ingredients, warranties,… I’ve not found an efficient way to edit the pdf?s so I did some research online. I see that most of the articles refer to editing the pdf as a rtf in Word and then saving as a pdf.

Is this correct? Or is there a better way to edit pdf’s?
