Adobe file won't open in web browser

By jwilliams ·
We have a program that our end users use for creating reports. Our vendor had designed this program to open the complete report as a PDF file when they click the "print report" button. This PDF file should open in the web browser (IE7).

The problem is that the report is not opening in the web browser. This application is a web based application. I have tried uninstalling Adobe Reader and reinstalling it.

I have checked the preferences for Adobe Reader to make sure that it is set to open files from the internet into the web browser. I even tried changing this settings so that they would have to download the report to see if they could open it in Adobe Reader itself instead of the web browser.

I have checked security settings on Internet Explorer and I am not seeing anything that would be stopping this. Pop up blockers are off. The end user is only having this issue on one PC of the three that they have in their office. This would indicate that it is not a firewall issue. I have disabled Windows Firewall on this particular PC without any luck.

Is there any one out there that may be familiar with issues regarding PDF files opening in web broswers from a web based application?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

There are alot of custom setting in the browser that could be different on this PC. Poke around in advanced, and try resetting back to defaults.

What version of Adobe Reader? maybe try upgrading to next version as that solves alot of Adobe issues.

I know this sounds counter intuitive, but
