Adobe Premier CS keeps hanging

We upgraded to Adobe Premier CS and now every time we export a file to DVD, it hangs while transcodeing. The system is a dual processor pentium 4 with 3 GB ram and I updated DVD drive firmware but I can get this to work. Any ideas?
