Adobe Premiere 6.0 Dell Inspiron

I had a problem with my Dell laptop computer and the Adobe Premiere 6.0 software. I was trying to create a video from my files which were downloaded to my computer from a DV camcorder. I could view the files with no problem. In trying to view my video, the video wouldn’t show. I have a Dell Inspiron with a celeron processor. I was told that there is a conflict with the celeron and the adobe software. Is this true? I’m planning to purchase a computer soon and am taking a multimedia class.
