AdSense on Blogger

I’m a noob when it comes to this so I decided to ask the experts.
I searched for the steps to add Adsense on Blogger, did them and it says that AdSense account is connected and that my site is examined.
But I also got a mail from Adsense with a code to add into my site HTML so what do I have to do, wait for AdSense to check my site or add the code?

And can’t see how I can add to prior discussions I found with:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blogger_(service) tells us it’s a Google service so if it’s broken to the point you can’t add this, be sure to post in their product forums.

Select the Google email associated with your Blogger account. Fill out AdSense form and click Create account. Enter your payment details and verify your phone number. Click Submit. The system should automatically take you to Blogger to complete the process.
