agp motherboard/chipset drivers for intel 845G motherboard

i have a compaq evo D510 CMT with an anboard video card. I bought an ATI Radeon 9600 SE AGP card and tried to install it but my machine does not detect it at all. I read the manual and saw something like i need to update AGP driver functionality for my motherboard and chipset.

please does anyone know how i can solve this problem?, your help would be infact very much appreciated.

You may need more than just a driver update.

Per the Intel Data Sheet for the 845G chip-set, it supports 4X AGP cards.

The ATI 9600 series are 8X AGP devices. Unless your specific graphics card supports 4X mode, it will NEVER work with this motherboard.

If the ATI card does support 4X AGP mode, you can download the drivers for the chip-set from either HP support, or from Intel.

you just to install driver from ATI, to let your printer know with your new VGA card.

or also you can change BIOS setup (advanced)
