all the BSOD at once on new install of xp

by uout . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

Old machine,

The video card is old but works!

the ram is a 256 ddr226 very old but my guess is that it works(i m fairly confident)

the cpu ok (celeron 1.8…yeah it’s old)

mobo old (new bios is needed for sure)

Power supply half dead(fan don’t turn + chinese electricity is just wrong without a pcu-box)

So my guess is the power supply is making my pc go a-wire!

My question::::

If i m right about the state of the machine, is it normal to get this list of BSOD???
-PFN List Corrupt
-bad_pool Header
-IRQL inequal blablabla
-page blablabla

Also freezes during WINXP install at various point

and last but not least….it warns me sometimes that the battery software i m trying to install(??? no clue why) is not validated bu microsoft!

I know it’s a long shot but i m not investing more then a new power supply for that old piece of****

What do you guys think? (i m looking for ideas that you could think about to explain it not the million ways to find the culprid as the min is on and there’s no windows yet)

thanks!
