Alternatives to Outlook/Outlook Express

I am looking for a sleek and business-like e-mail program to replace Outlook/Express. We’ve had difficulties with both programs, and I’d like to insist that my company use something else. However, the other programs I’ve found have a cartoon-y intereface, or can’t check multiple accounts, or have some other limitation. Can anyone make a recommendation?
