My only thought would be to do the import from Excel instead of Access. go to tools, data, get external data. One you get the db and the table or query you want ( which ever feeds the report) before clicking ok to do the import, set the import properties or specs. Then save the import specs for the data. After updating data in access over time, if you want to see it in excel again, just go to the excel document and refresh data. The specs will stay the same.

Analyze it with MS Excel from MS Access
Every time I do this my next step is to always click Format -> Cells -> Alignment tab and then turn off "wrap text" by clearing the checkbox.
Is there any way to make this the default behavior when importing from Access?
