Animations on forms

By pav1970s ·
I am trying to embe an animation in a form, but after inserting a GIF file, the picture doesn't animate, why was that? Is it really not possible to put an animation graphic in a form?

Animations on forms

If the form is posted on the internet or your intranet then it should animate. If you are looking at it in the program you created it in, then it will look like a still picture. What are you posting your form to?

Animation Grapics

There are many different schools of thought on this. Change the GIF file to a JPG and you can do it very easy with Photo Shop or Photo Deluxe. I have had problems with converting animations with textin Microsoft Word. There is a way to do it You will probably have to have someone walk you through it the first time IT CAN BE DONE. If I had the text and the animation I can do it. I suspect it is a format problem.

I know I've done this before is that when I export the Animation from the program I've done it in I only export on frame, you might wan't to double check that it works in another program and also make sure the link to the image in the form is not a link to a local file
ex: <img src="C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\anim.gif instead it should be <img src="anim.gif
