I like to use the Print Article link and more often than not the above message is what I get. This started happening more and more after TR’s site upgrade/update.

Here’s an example link, and it may or may not have the same outcome for everyone else.

Occasionally this will also happen when I use the Print link for discussions. I like using the Print link for dicussions because TR’s Jive Software forum is annoying in the fact that one needs to use the next or previous links to read other’s comments. Wish TR would switch forum software!

I got the same rotten message. ]:)
This is the first post and article I get in. Even the discussion center gave me that awkward message. 🙁
I’m getting very tired trying to get in. Reading the post and then NOT being able to answer 🙁 🙁 It is a waist of time and hope will be over soon 🙂

Well I know TR is trying to fix all this but for now, I AM CALLING it A DAY.

See you all tomorrow 🙂 That iss.s…s.s.s… s.o.s.

We’re looking into this…

This is the first we’ve heard of this particular malfunction, but I’ve sounded the alarm with our engineers.

That link is fixed now

We’ll re-publish all those article printer-friendly links today to correct any that might have failed before.

Sorry about that,

That article worked!

by ni70 ·

In reply to That link is fixed now

Now the test of time will tell if future printer friendly links work! While typing this reply, I got another Site Problem error! What’s up with all Site Problem errors? BTW, will TR ever consider switching the dicussion format? Such as threaded (all messages)? or linear? The dicussion software used by TR and ZDNet are less than desireable! I like reading the discussion in ZDNet but don’t have the patience to keep on clicking next just to read the f#@!@%king dicussion! OK, enough of my rant!

Don’t bother writing TechSupport

by sboothe ·

In reply to Annoying message

I’ve been getting this since the end of June, have written twice, and not gotten a response period. I did get a nice little auto reply saying someone would respond within 24 hours.

Whom did you write?

When you say you “wrote TR”, what exactly did that entail? If there is some part of our customer service system that is not performing up to snuff, we need to know.

TechRepublic Support

by sboothe ·

In reply to Whom did you write?

Sorry, I thought I made that clear.

‘My Questions’ is where I posted the questions.

TechRepublic Support [techrepublic@custhelp.com] sent the auto reply and I sent an email to this address asking why there had been no response. I’m guessing no one monitors this address.
