I need an anonymous email account. Can someone please recommend one (free or paid)?

And any feedback on Countermail. If positive, can you PLEASE provide me with an INVITATION code?

    Thanks.

Let’s look at what happened when a secure email existed.

      Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavabit

It lasted for about 9 years and then the US Gov shut it down.

I don’t believe that any email is truly anonymous.
Maybe if you use a burner Email Account and a VPN but you would never do this on your home internet connection.

Maybe for a one-off use I might write that I would boot up the TAILS OS and use a public WiFi and a burner email account that I could send the message and then never use that email account ever again.

      But will you do this?

I’d suggest looking at ProtonMail or Tutanota, both offering a certain degree of privacy, but remember, absolute anonymity is hard to achieve. ProtonMail is based in Switzerland, known for strong privacy laws, and Tutanota in Germany, also having good privacy protection.

About Countermail, it’s pretty decent, but I’m afraid I don’t have an invitation code to share. They do offer diskless web servers and OpenPGP encryption which is commendable.

Lastly, rproffitt’s advice about using a VPN and burner email is good for additional anonymity. Also consider using Tor for an extra layer of protection. It’s all about your comfort level with tech and how much privacy you need.
