Any way to extract info from Win Address Book (WAB)?

By trevor ·
Although I tried to 'export' the Address Book
from Outlook Express as a 'text delimited' file,
it didn't work. So, I simply copied the .WAB file
to a backup and then completely reinstalled
the OS and applications. Ultimately, this didn't
work as I had intended (intention was to retain
all of my Address Book entries).

I wanted to use the 'old' address book in the
new installation, but since I didn't do it the
correct way (exporting first), I only have the
.wab file. My attempts at replacing the
newly-installed .WAB file with the backup, then
loading OE, the Address Book information
from my previous installation did not import to
the new installation.
Is there any other way to recover the contents
of the .WAB file so that it can be used with the
new installation?

The "WAB" file into Outlook/Express.

That should work but this would be better off on the Q & A section as you get an autoimated e-mail generated when someone replys so you know faster and are not left waiting until you get the time to look again.

This works quite nicely to recover the individual e-mails.
