Custom built- P4, 2.8, Asus P4s8x, 512 ram, Plextor 48x CD-R/RW latest firmware, Seagate 80 gig, winxp pro all updates and patches applied. Windows burning software works fine. Install EZcd ver-6 will not burn cd gets to approx 58-67% and locks up computer- has to be cold booted. On 6 occations completed burn process but disks were unreadable. You can see area’s on disks where data was burned but none is readable. Type of disk matters not data,music, vid etc. nor brand of disk. Drag to disk does not work any better. Have reformated and reloaded 16 times with the same results. Install Nero on a fresh OS install and it works fine. Do a uninstall of EZcd and install Nero and same no burn problem. Have burned 50+ disks with no success. I haveused EZcd from ver-1 do not wish to change but this last Hope. Have read most posts back to when ver-6 came out and found no fix to this problem. 11 tech’s and IT’s have had a go at this and gave up. Held on phone with tech support 3 times for about45 minutes each time before hanging up – spending more money on this is out. THis is the machine we burn custom 4 in 1 drivers on for our custom built computers ver-5 on win 98 worked fine but not so when xp installed with ver-6. Roxio has been no help not even a reply.
