Anyone has info on Whatsapp new features/2021 – Group Chats “Read Later”?

Does anyone have more information about when will Whatsapp launch the “Read Later”/ “Vacation Mode” feature for group chats, that adds new features and more control over archived chats? Namely, keeping them archived permanently and not coming up on your app? I have seen it announced as still in the research phase – any information on when it will be launched or if it was canceled? This seems a more and more useful feature considering the overwhelming pressure for the user on managing and keeping up with group conversations on the App.
