Can someone please help me with a very large problem I am having with AOL. I have windows 2000, over the past 4 months I have uninstalled and reinstalled AOL numerous times. I can log on to AOL but when it goes into dialing the nubmers for connection, I keep getting AOL cannot establish a connection. I have checked my modem, phone lines, ran a disk scan, deleted unused files, ran a virus scan and a defrag. It would take 6 dial up numbers before it would connect, if it connected at all. I have been reinstalling version 8.0 because 9.0 will not let me connect at all. When I got my phone bill apparently it is connecting to the number but disconnects before it goes through. I had over 200 phone calls on my bill all to the AOL dial up numbers. At this point I am not sure where the problem lies, with my computer or with AOL.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
