Hi, My Oracle database TEST instance’s apache listener seems to hang frequently when I stop/start the instance.
Usually what happens is that I need to bounce the instance, so I stop the forms server side, then bring down the database server side. usually i wait a couple of minutes before restarting the instance. when i do i find the forms server isn’t able to get the apache server to start up b/c it is being used by another port. that port is the correct port, it is doing this b/c the process is hung and doesn’t die off. i’ve tried doing a ‘kill -9’ on the PID but it will not go away (it’s not a permissions issue). it will only go away after a reboot of the box.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
