archive users e-mails

I am trying to archive a users emails prior to July 1st. i have created a pst file to archive all of his e-mails. I am manually moving the e-mails from the exchange server to the pst file by highlighting a bunch of e-mails and dragging them to the pst file. When doing this, i will receive a message that “outlook is retreiving data from the exchange server”. Depending on the amount of e-mails that I am trying to move, is more than maybe 50 I will receive an out of memory error message. If I try to move maybe 10 e-mails that amount to less than 1MB it takes literally almost 10 min.

I am looking to do this more efficiently. the machine I am doing this from is a 2.7GHz P4 512 RAM, running Outlook XP SP3, Windows XP SP1a and we are running Exchange 5.5 sp4.
