I have a client who has an issue with his outlook 2000 – Im Stumped!

When he is in the office using his outlook on his laptop, he can see all of his large archive folder. However the moment he leaves the office and remotes into his Outlook, with the same laptop, he cant see any of his Archived emails at all.

Is this something I can fix or could it be that his archive folder is just too big?

    Please help

Tools menu, click Options, click Mail Services, and the Enable Offline Access

Where are these archive folders located? If they are on a network drive rather than on his local C: drive, he wouldn’t be able to see them when he’s connected remotely.

      Hope this helps!

The archive folder is probably made from a PST file. I’m guessing this file is located somewhere the user can see when in the office.

To find the location of the Achive Folder:

Right click ‘Archive Folders’ in outlook
      Select Properties
      Click Advanced
It should be ther under ‘Filename’

(By the way: this is for Outlook 2003. Not sure if it’s the same for 2000)
