Archiving Lotus Notes 6.5.3

Has anyone ever enforced size limits on Lotus Notes archiving? If so, at what point – 300 meg, 500 meg? I do realize that at a certain point corruption will occur and that is what we are trying to determine. I have not been able to find anything out on the IBM?Lotus site. Thanks!
