And which version of Arcsoft DVD is in use here?

by OH Smeg In reply to arcsoft dvd slideshow

The Windows or the Linux version?

What is running on the computer that this is loaded on?

What DVD Burner is being used here?

Is there a Blank DVD in the drive?

If it is Windows which form and what Burning software is loaded?

That you are attempting to use XP to write to the Disc this application requires something like Nero to be installed.

Well for starters there is a range of Burning Software

by OH Smeg In reply to I Cant have Nero7

That generally comes preloaded with a new computer. Nero is one of the more common ones but there are things like Easy DVD Creator, Gear, Toast and several more.

These applications are used to burn data to a Blank Disc and there should be something installed on your computer. If there isn't that is most likely the problem as Arcsoft doesn't support burning from Windows.

With any Burning Software you can only have one type installed as if you attempt to install more than 1 per Install of Windows you get conflicts occurring between the different software and failures occurring.

You need to look at your loaded software to see what Burning Software you have installed and work from the Help files in that.

If you have nothing loaded and have a copy of one of these burning programs it need to be installed. If you don't have anything to use and there is no Burning Software installed you can look here and down load one of the Free ones listed here. But as I've never used any of them I'm unsure which is better.

But only download and install one of these if you do not have a existing Recording Application installed.
