Ariel Software Campaign Enterprise

By ccooper ·
I have recently begun using Campaign Enterprise (10.2.113) and am having inconsistency with my images showing up. Currently, I am sending an email with a background image in a table. In testing, the image disappears. It is located on the local computer, where other images that I have used successfully are located. The very odd part is, sometimes the image comes through, other times not. Sometimes it only appears when I forward the email. Sometimes it does not appear when I forward the email. Any thoughts?

Image location

It depends on where the images are stored. If you are using a background image stored locally, then you are attempting to embed the image from the computer on which campaign is installed. It may not however be located on the computer from which you are using to access campaign. Therefore, when you browse to your image on your remote computer, you see the image and it looks fine, but when the campaign is run, the campaign computer cannot find that same image.

Arial Software recommends, in all instances, to use an image stored somewhere in a web folder, rather than trying to embed one. Using a link to a web image will always ensure that the image can be found and displayed, and will also decrease the size of your outbound message since embedded images act as attachments when sent.
