ASP Page with a Form to be filled by Blackberry user

I have created a web form where a useer with a Blackberry has to fill in.
One of the fields they have to enter a numeric value.
How can I make it so that when they enter the number into that form field it will enter in a number value without them having to hold down the ALT key on their Blackberry to enter numbers?

Searching for the same

Discussed this with one of the more technical staff members who suggests this needs to be done as custom javascript. We are still searching online for examples and will share if we find that or decide to ultimately write our own code for it. Wish I had more at this time.
