try removing it from the startup menu

If it is an application failure at startup (whenever it boots) a service or executeable is running.
Go to start -- run -- type msconfig
go to the startup tab and de-select the offending application.
If you do not see it, go to the services tab and set the service to manual or disabled.

Be careful not to disable a needed component for Windows though. verify which process is being called first by googling it or looking in task manager
