ASUS laptop screen flickering

I recently got a kitten, who likes to walk across my laptop. Sometimes a setting will get adjusted, (like the trackpad turns off, or the volume goes up) but nothing major. Today however, he walked across the keyboard and after that my screen started flickering. At first it was once in a while but now it is every few seconds. This is concerning me, and I don’t know how to fix it!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I see the make but lack of which OS, age, full model number.
If it’s a setting, try system restore.
Also, this can be a hardware issue which we test for by plugging in an external monitor or TV.

Screen flickering in Windows 10 is usually caused by a display driver issue or incompatible app. To determine whether a display driver or app is causing the problem, check to see if Task Manager flickers.
