Attachments on Outlook 2000

By rlokur ·
Does any one know what needs to be done for outlook 2000 outgoing attachments to be seen by the recipient?

I sent the attachment to a friend, but he could read the email but he could only see the attachment in a form some hex decimal codes all over the page. The recipients have office 2003 and I have office 2000. Is there a possibility his office 2003 may not recognize office 2000 documents?

Somebody please help.

As I know about it is some thing to do with encoding, check your encoding make it default, don't use user defined.

The first question would be, for your friend to check his Outlook settings, and make sure he is not blocking the file from a security setting.

The next answer would be to check that his Office 2003 has the settings to import Office 2000. Sounds stupid, but stupid things have been done in setup before.

The easiest answer, is for you to choose "Save as" and choose RTF, Rich Text, as the file format. You will lose a little formatting, but not much.
