By hydveda ·
Hello Guys,
Can anyone tell me a software with which i can directly grab the audio from the website itself. Like when i go to any songs website to hear songs, The songs open in a media player or real player. Is there any possible way to grab the songs directly from those players?

Hi. Basically streaming media happens when the file size are extremely huge to be download. When the audio/video link are clicked, web server identifies the contents as streaming audio, and causing browser to invoke appropriate helper application / plug-in. The application communicate with the audio server, it will briefly initial delay to fill a small local buffer with downloaded audio and then it will starts to play a bit by bit.
There're impossible to download the entire file from streaming to your PC, but you can try to grab this software named "Download Accelerator" and copy the URL of the streaming audio into it.

You could send a message to the webmaster and ask what song it is, then go get. I've found that webmasters are extremely proud of their creations and normally don't get recognition for it. Asking em about their site and stuff usually gets a response from them.

It depends on how the media is coded and structured on the web site.

For some, all you need to do, is right click on the audio link, and select save target as.

For others, you will find a file in your temporary internet files folder.

For others that are links to streams, you need a stream capture program.
These programs get knocked off the web nearly as fast as they appear.

The last links that I had are now dead.

Streaming a media file is one way for sites to maintain control of their content, and reduce web server costs.
