Auto send in Outlook 2000

By reza168 ·
Im using MS exchange 5.5, and Outlook 2000 as the mail client.

Im trying to send a mail message that will be automatically sent every morning and send it by specific time and date. Ive tried using the send options but its not working for me, it stays in the outbox.

thanx in advance

If you have the back office resource kit use mapi send and create a batch file to send the message, then use the NT scheduler to set the time and date for the batch file to run.

Sorry if this seems a little elementary, but I have to ask. Too many times my own troubles have been caused by overlooking the small stuff. Do you have Outlook set to 'check mail every x minutes' so that it's actually doing a send and recieve oncethe auto message drops into the outbox?

If it still stays in the outbox, check for error messages. What is O2K telling you the problem is, or is it not giving an error at all?
