Auto start avi files in MSAccess Form

How do I get a video clip (avi.) to start automatically in a form as a splash screen.
This is in MSaccess 97.

You'd have to put an Animation control on your form, load the .avi on the Form_Load event, then play it in the Form_Activate event. You may want to artificially put in a small delay, depending on the performance of your or your clients system.

The only problem I can see with this is I can't remember if Access ships with the animation control. I know that VB does. Check your references/components dialog to see if there's an Animation control registered on your system. When you distribute the app, you'll have to distribute the control as well, but that's no problem if you have the Developer Edition of Office.
