By ice69 ·
Hi,

I'm trying to automatically populate a Powerpoint slide show presentation with data from an MS Access database but am having no luck doing so...

Any one else been able to do this ?? If so, please let me know how you did it...

Cheers,
Brian

automatically populate powerpoint slides

I haven't done this but I think I can see several difficulties. Powerpoint can probably automatically update if the data is inserted as an object. This is fairly easily done from Excel. A database, however, is a collection of single data points. To form a decent presentation you would need to perform a query in order to group the data for presentation (e.g.: so many widgets to which zip codes by which salesperson). I'm not sure if a query, as such, can be used as the source of the information, but I'm pretty sure the information could be exported to an Excel file where it would update the presentation as the file was updated.
