Automating Emails with gen’d Reply-To

I’d like to find out more about techniques and mail server products that use generated Reply-To to aid automation when a user responds. The Reply-to can contain unique info per note to tag it’s origin.

For instance, the TechRepublic newsletters Reply-to uses a format Online#3.1931.8b-G2p0_kts_j2m.1@newsletter.online.com .

It appears MS-Exchange requires a named mailbox which makes it impractical (unless one uses NDR exceptions which is messy).

Are there simple Mail Servers that can support this type of application interface
